Our Pretty Peacock Stamp

It is finally here and I have been having an absolute ball with our new Peacock stamp!

As soon as it came in, I had to break out the Skittles and do a bit of playing and talk about fun!

The thing I love most about this peacock is there isn't a whole heck of a lot of things you HAVE to do to make it look it all fancy.  Just a few embellishments and you are pretty much good to go.

I think she looks pretty darn good just as she sits, but it isn't like I could leave her sitting on my table like this.   Ooooh, before I forget, did I mention that with every Peacock stamp you purchase, you also get a complimentary set of the Peacock colored Skittles!!!!

Talk about a fun and fabulous way to bling out your peacock!

After playing with the fun Skittle colors, I decided I would go a few more steps further and break out the Fireworks from Imagine Crafts.  As I was digging through the fun, I ran across some fabulous ribbon from 3 Girl Jam and it worked out PERFECTLY with the Pear Tart, LuLu Lavender and Bahama Blue Fireworks.
Oh ya, baby, this is going to be a BLAST!

  1. I sprayed the Pear Tart Fireworks onto my paper
  2. Placed the Mini Ripples stencil on top of it
  3. Had a good time alternating between, Bahama Blue, Lulu Lavender and Pear Tart
  4. After my paper was dry, I went ahead and stamped the Peacock with the Black Tuxedo Memento Ink
  5. I used the Oval Framelits from Stampin' Up! and cut out the Peacock
  6. Then I used the larger Oval and cut out a black frame

I also wanted to do a bit of a shadow box look to the card, so I went and ahead and mimicked the front so that the Peacock could be seen on the outside of the card as well as the inside!  I placed the Peacock Skittles, which are EXCLUSIVE to So Suzy Stamps, onto the swirls of the Peacock and tied a couple of cute bows using the 3 Girl Jam ribbon.

How cute is that?

Needless to say, I didn't stop there!  How could I?  I had time to play in my craft room AND I was having a ball with the stamp.

For this version, I decided to use the same colors of ink from Memento for the sponged background; Lulu Lavender, Bahama Blue and Pear Tart.

  1. I masked off the area I wanted to sponge
  2. Started with the Pear Tart and worked my way up to the Lulu Lavender and did a light sponging from the Bahama Blue.  I also used the Pear Tart sponge to blend it all together.
  3. I inked the Peacock with Teal Zeal and stamped her partially off of the sponged area.
  4. We have a new stamp that is coming out on January 1st, the Oh la la and I thought it went PERFECTLY with the Peacock
  5. I inked up Oh la la with Gray Flannel Memento Ink and stamped it onto the bottom of my white paper.
  6. I loved the silk ribbon from 3 Girl Jam so much, I had to use it again on this card!  I placed a strip of sticky tape across the paper and scrunched to my little hearts desire!
  7. I wanted to add a bit of bling to the card so I finished her off with some Clover Skittles and White Opal Liquid Pearls.
  8. I decided to go with Basic Grey and Island Indigo papers from Stampin Up! and I was finished and HAPPY!
I would LOVE to see what you have made using the stamps so be sure and either tag us on Instagram or Twitter at #sosuzystamps OR if you are on Facebook, please feel free to join us on our Facebook Group - So Suzy Stamps.
