Sending an Instant Hug

Hello hello everyone - Jennifer from Caffeinated Papercuts here with my first official design team post! Yay!!!

(yes, I'm the crazy caffeinated one...hehehe...)

Seeing as it's been snowing here in the great Northeast, I of course wanted to play with flowers. Come on, it makes total sense! So I grabbed the Peony, Herb 1, and Sending you an Instant Hug stamps and went to town.

I bet you feel happier already, don't you?

I created a stamp mask from a post-it note and stamped the peonies all around the border of the card, leaving room for the sentiment in the middle. Then I went back and added in the Herb 1 for some greenery wherever it felt like I had too much white space. Much as I love a good one-layer card, this one needed some pizzazz so I fussy cut two extra peonies and popped them on with some foam tape.

Tip - this is also a great way to hide accidents if you happen to have some ink bleed through your post-it mask...or so I hear...

For some extra sparkle and shine, I covered the two popped peonies (try saying that 3 times fast) with some clear Wink of Stella and added on a few Pretty Pink Posh clear sequins. I finished off the card by heat embossing the sentiment with some lovely Zing Pewter embossing powder. Now who wouldn't want to get this cheerful card in the mail??
