An Apple a Day

One of the very first stamps that came out from So Suzy Stamps was this snarky little sentiment.  I absolutely loved it then and almost a year later, I still love it!  When it first came out, I didn't have an image for a basket so I had to create my own!

This was definitely a labor of love!  I used the cupcake punch from Stampin Up! and punched out the "basket" and then cut off the cherry stems, colored them brown and voila!  Instant apples...did I mention it was a PAIN in the butt?  However, it was super cute!

I am HAPPY to say that this month's release has a FABULOUS basket of apples along with a bunch of cute apple stamps that coordinate perfectly with my snarky Apple a Day stamp!

Ta Da!  I cannot tell you how much I LOVE this basket of apples that goes with my sentiment!  Plus, did you see the way the sentiment is cut out of the white paper?  Guess who did NOT fussy cut that bad boy?  Me!  Instead, I used our SVG file for the sentiment to cut it out!  How fabulous is that?!  I am so in love with SVG files at the moment.

As far as the actual card goes, the supplies I used to make it are:

Paper: Real Red (SU), Black (SU), Whisper White (SU), Smoky Slate SU), X-Press It Blending Paper
Ink: Love Letters & Tuxedo Black Memento
Ribbon: Red/White Polka Dot
Liquid Pearls: Daffodil
Stamps: Apple a Day, Basket of Apples
SVG File: Apple a Day
Copics: Apples: R24, R27, R29 Basket: E35, E37, E39 Handle: C3, C4, C5 Grass: YG17, YG67 Sky: B0000, B000
Misc: White Gel Pen, Oval Framelits (SU)

I would LOVE to see the cards you make using our stamps AND if you use any of the stamps we have on our New Release page and post it in our So Suzy Stamps Group page, you could win a fun little prize!!

Until next time,
Happy Stamping!

OH!  Did you see Jenny's cute little version of this sentiment?  Holy cow!  Talk about a FABULOUS quick gift idea!

Have fun!
