So Suzy Stamps Baby Featurette Part 1

Hello everyone!!  I'm super excited about this post today!!  For the next couple of weeks, I will be showcasing So Suzy's Stamps new "Baby Line"!!

Who doesn't love sweet baby stuff!! I get all giddy when I see tiny new babies.  It make me want another one, but we won't go there!!!

So lets start this amazing series!

What better way to start this series off then with an invitation to the big baby shower event!!

My invites were created with the Pretty Baby Carriage Stamp! This stamp is super cute!!

Now lets see how I used this stamp on my invites!

Take a look:

I love how this invitations turned out!!  Aren't you just giddy with glee?

Let me apologies for not have blue invites.  I was so excited about this stamp that I didn't realize I that didn't make a blue one. You can easily create these invites in any color you want.

Are you curious about how I created these invites?  Well here you go:

1. The actually words on this invite were created digitally.

2. I used Photoshop to create mines but you can use any word processing software to create these invites.

3. I set my canvas size to 8.5 x 11, so that it will match my cardstock size.

4. Then I used my ruler on the top and bottom of my canvas to measure how much space I will need for the baby carriage and the wording. I measure out 5 x 7 for a standard size invite.

 5. This allowed me to type in the wording without going over the lines.

6.  I added color to the recipient's name to give the invite a pop of color.

7.  You can create two invites on one sheet of paper.  Just add another measured line to the right side of the paper.

8. Before printing, I removed the lines so that they didn't print too.

9. I printed my invite on Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock.  I wanted to used the 110lb but my printer couldn't pull the paper because it was to thick.

10. Once my invite printed, I used my paper to cut it nice and clean.

11. Now to stamp my adorable baby carriage, I used my new Misti so that I didn't make a mistake.  I put the stamp right where I wanted it on the paper and used the Misti handle to pick it up.  I inked it up with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and stamped away.

12. If your making multiples of this invite, there is no need to move the stamp from the Misti.

13. For the pink invite, I used my retired Stampin' Up! Pretty in Pink marker to add color to the heart on the carriage.

14. For the purple invite, I used the heart punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack to punch out a heart from Stampin' Up Perfect Plum cardstock. I adhered the heart with tape.

15. For the purple invite, I stepped this invite up by adding Stampin' Up Whisper White Bakers Twine and a couple rhinestones to the wheels and heart.

16. You can't have invites without envelopes! I used another new baby stamp for that.
