Shop Grand Opening

So Suzy Stamps Shop

If you haven't heard the news, we had our Grand Opening last weekend for the new So Suzy Stamps shop in Bloomfield, NM!  Talk about EXCITED!  It wasn't without A LOT of hiccups and life getting in the way, there was definitely a time where God and I had to have a nice chat.  Thankfully, the Big Guy is quite a good listener and we were able to work our differences.  :)

What do you say we take a quick little tour of our shop and the transformation it has gone through!

Setting Up Shop
Here is the shop all delivered and ready to get prettified!  There was a TON of work to be done on the inside as well as the outside.  Every night after school, my husband would come home and finish up the inside of the building and then in June after school let out, he busted his butt to get the outside looking pretty!  Trees, fencing, flowers, gravel, causeway, carpet, pegboard, insulation, my man kicks some serious booty!

The boys doing gravel
I cannot tell you how much I love the picket fence in front.  The contrast between the shop and the fence is just perfect!

Fairy Garden
While the guys hauled rock, I planted and created a fairy garden!  I mean, seriously, how can you have a cute crafting cottage and NOT have a fairy garden?

Flood
Remember those set backs we had?  Yaaaaaaa, this was one of them.  During a lovely little storm, the entrance washed away....an hour AFTER we had tons of gravel delivered....which is now lining the culvert headed away from the shop.  My husband was out in that lovely storm trying to save the driveway and culvert and I am happy to report the new retaining wall he had to build lived to see the next storm AND it did a great job!

My HARD work
Stephan may have been wallowing in rain and mud, but I was slaving a way at coloring this cute little sea turtle for our Copic Club starting in July.  (Did I mention this little cutie is coming out on Wednesday? Woo hoo!  Sneak Peek!)  I just love this little guy!

The day of the Grand Opening came and my mom was able to come down to be here and help out!  Talk about a GREAT way to kick it off!  With all of the snafu's we went through the last few months, it was a rare treat for both of us!

Pretty Flowers
Check out the GORGEOUS flowers that Vicky and John from Crackerbox Palace, Effie from The Ton and my girlfriend Julie sent us!!  Talk about a total surprise and a great way to start the day!

Embellishments
Here is just a small little tour of our shop.  These are a bunch of the embellishments along with the cute Tu-Tu Bunkie Bag my mom made for the Grand Opening!  She sold out of the Bunkies before Saturday so she was a happy camper!

Sequins and Skittles
I may not have my crafty shop owner friends near me, but I do have them with me at the shop!  I have a little piece of Carri from DoubleClick Connections and Effie from The Ton, right here in the shop with all of their sparkly pretties decorating my walls and making my customers happy!

Delma!  Our first customer
It was so appropriate that Delma was our first customer at the So Suzy Stamps Shop.  This AMAZING woman has been my "first" customer in EVERYTHING I have done since I moved to New Mexico.  When I was selling cards at local craft fairs, Delma was there first...every...single...time.  When I opened up my stamp company, my cousin Courtney beat her by a minute for the first online customer, but only by a minute!  It doesn't matter what is going on, Delma is right there!  Did I also mention she brought me a COKE?!

Yep, Delma is the bomb diggity shizz nit and I wouldn't have it any differently than having her as our first shopper!

For those of you who have stopped by over the last week, THANK YOU!

For those of you in cyberspace who have helped create ALL OF THIS...BIG SUZY HUGS!!!!!

For my husband and family who have busted their butts, put up with floods, family emergencies, hospitals, car accidents, cranky Suzy and no laundry or dinner, I LOVE YOU!

If you are ever in the area, please be sure and pop in and say hello!  If not, there is always Facebook and Instagram!

Until next time,
Happy Stamping!
