Watercolored Flower Swirls

Good Morning friends! This is Payel here from Beau Monde Designs with a watercolored card.

Inspiration: I am here today with a watercolored card using the amazing floral stamps, ‘Flower Swirl Trio‘ and ‘Single Flower Swirl’. I am absolutely loving these stamps for watercoloring!

How I made my card:
1) I started off by stamping the ‘Flower Swirl Trio’ and the ‘Single Flower Swirl’ stamps on a piece of watercolor paper using ‘Festive Berries’, ‘Ripe Persimon’ and ‘Peeled Paint’ distress inks.
2) I used Gansai Tambi water colors and plain water to color and shade the stamped images.
3) I used my Gansai Tambi water colors again to color the background of my card in blue and yellow.
4) I splattered some paint onto my card to finish off the water colored piece.
5)  Then I stamped my sentiment using Versafine Black Ink and embossed it with the clear embossing powder.
6)  To finish off my card, I matted this water colored piece on to some black card stock and finally adhered this on to an Ivory card base.

Other supplies used:
Gansai Tambi Water Colors, Gina K. Designs ‘Ivory’ card stock and ‘Black Onyx’ card stock, Ranger ‘Clear’ Embossing Powder, Versafine Black Ink, Strathmore water color paper, Tombow Xtreme Permanent Adhesive High Performance Tape.

  2. It is a very beautiful card Payel! Love your water coloring.... I am amazed at how you managed to prevent the distress inks from smudging while coloring the background in blue and yellow. <3
