Venetian Mask

Good Morning friends! This is Payel here from Beau Monde Designs with a watercolored card.

Inspiration: I am here today with a watercolored card using the amazing ‘Venetian Mask‘ and the ‘Love takes off the Mask’ stamps. I used a dripping water color effect to symbolize the mask melting away or coming off. Hope that makes sense! :)

How I made my card:
1) I started off by embossing the ‘Venetian Mask’ and the ‘Love takes off the Mask’ stamps on a piece of watercolor paper using black embossing powder.
2) I used some water color masking fluid to mask off the eyes.
3) I used my Gansai Tambi water colors to create the dripping effect on my card in various shades of blue.
4) I removed the masking fluid and painted the eyes.
5)  Then I sponged some dark blue distress ink on the edges to create a finished effect.
6)  Finally, I matted this water colored piece on to some ivory card stock and finally adhered this on to a Navy card base.

So Suzy Stamps used:

Other supplies used:
Gansai Tambi Water Colors, Gina K. Designs ‘Ivory’ card stock and ‘In the Navy’ card stock, Ranger ‘Black’ Embossing Powder, Versamark Ink, Strathmore water color paper, Tombow Xtreme Permanent Adhesive High Performance Tape.
