Guest Designer - Rubeena from A Rare Ruby

We have started our September off with a whole lot of happy and I am thrilled to keep it going this month with a special series from the fabulous Rubeena from A Rare Ruby.  Starting today, she will be gracing the pages of our blog every Monday in September with some amazing creations.  Please welcome her as our Guest Designer this month and enjoy some more inspiration!

Hello, friends! I am so excited to be a So Suzy Stamps Guest Designer for the month of September! Suzy is an amazing person who has been a ray of sunshine in the craft industry! When she approached me, I was ecstatic over the chance to do this for her.

A little about me - I've been crafting since July 2014 and am ADDICTED! Learning has always been a passion of mine so when I like something, I want to do as much as I can with it! I used to collect books but now I've made room for inks, stamps, and cardstock. Not only do you get to make pretty cards to give out to loved ones, but you get to tap into your creativity! I had not done that in so long so this past year has been quite an adventure for me!

Today's cards are pretty simple but sometimes that's all you need! I fell in love with Fancy Butterfly when I first saw it. It's big enough to be a focal point for a card and I love the details on the stamp.

I stamped the first card in black dye ink using my MISTI and then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder to give it a glossy look. Then, I used my Zig Clean Color Brush Pens in a pink and yellow tone (when you mix the two, it turns orange!). I didn't fill it in completely because I wanted to leave some white spaces.

I added some dots with my Kirarina Black glitter pen and some 4mm sequins from The Ton. I figured a strip of black glitter paper on the side would look great with this! Then I added a basic "hello" sentiment at the bottom.

For the second card, I stamped the butterfly with various inks (using my awesome MISTI!) and also heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I stamped the Be sentiment in black and heat set that with clear embossing powder as well to make it pop. For this card, I added a black and white pattern paper on the sides for a great contrast. I finished it off with sequins.

Aren't these butterflies just so gorgeous?! I hope you enjoyed today's inspiration. Be sure to check out the So Suzy Stamps shop online and come back next Monday for more projects from me. Thank you so much for visiting! And thank you to Suzy for such a great opportunity!

If you would like to see more from Miss Rubeena, please be sure and check her out on her blog, Instagram and Facebook!

As always,
Happy Stamping!
