I'm Sorry...

There are plenty of times when I SHOULD say I am sorry, but what follows isn't always what they are expecting to hear.  Needless to say, I thought a fun little stamp line of "I'm Sorry..." stamps would be fun.

Chris Dayton is on the blog today showing off some of her favorite "I'm sorry..." moments and the first one...has to be my favorite!

HOW TO

  • The shark and fish were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black, colored with Copics BV20, BV31, B60, BG10, BG11, Y00, R12.
  • A hint of clear Wink of Stella was added, then fussy cut.
  • The sky is watercolor paper subtly colored with a water brush and a touch of ink from Spectrum Aquas Kingfisher and Aquamarine.
  • The water is a teal piece of cardstock and a piece of vellum, both trimmed with a scalloped border die.
  • The two pieces are staggered, with the vellum wrapped around the back of the teal and adhered on the back.
  • The sentiments were embossed with Brutus Monroe Penny embossing powder, and the card was assembled, adding all elements to a white card base, and adhering the shark between the vellum and teal layers.

STAMPS USED

It just wouldn't be a So Suzy card if it didn't have a bit of snark!

HOW TO
  • This is stamped on a scrap of white cardstock with Noir black ink (The Ton).
  • I fussy cut the main body of Tink, cutting off the wings and the wand.
  • I used those trimmed away wing scrap pieces as a pattern and cut wings of vellum.
  • I added Wink of Stella to the vellum to give the wings a hint of sparkle.
  • I used a Copic 110 black marker to make sure the white edges of my Tink cut out were completely black before adhering the vellum wings to the back of my image.
  • I chose piece kraft cardstock for the card front and used a stitched rectangle die to prep the size and edges.
  • I stamped my sentiments and carefully lined up my Tink stamp, but only inked and stamped the wand portion.
  • I added liquid Scrappy Glue to the back of my Tinkerbell, being very careful to only get adhesive behind the areas that were black, not the vellum.
  • I adhered Tink, lining her up with the wand, and then adhered the front to a burgundy card base.
SUPPLIES USED
Not only are these cards fun, but they are PERFECT for Snarkfest, which is going on in our Facebook Group this month.  Let's face it, sometimes a little laughter is what we need to get through the day-to-day monotony!

You can see more of Chris's cards on Instagram and Facebook so be sure and check them out!

Until next time,
Happy Stamping!
